Kalib Watson's Portfolio

Hi, I'm Kalib Watson.

Although I began my college education planning to become an editor, I quickly found that I have a passion for the web. I discovered web accessibility during my junior year at Michigan State University, and have since been pursuing better knowledge of both front-end development and web accessibility standards, resources, and techniques to help create wonderful products for all users.

When I'm not working, I'm often playing with my dog, Dexter, making video games, or doing calisthenics.

Evaluation

When Jackson National Life hired me, they asked me to help them evaluate and better understand their accessibility. I've been able to help communicate these needs to many audiences within the organization.

WAI-ARIA Guide

In order to further progress on Jackson's accessibility efforts, a guide to one of the most useful accessible technologies, WAI-ARIA, was necessary. I created one based on team needs, research, and personal experience.
